There are a lot of ways to do this, including but not limited to: advertising (print, radio, banner ads, pay per click ads, linkbacks, and more), word of mouth, blogging, and a ton of others. However, one of the most effective ways to gain traffic, while also marking yourself as an expert in your field, is to publish articles – web content articles.

Just what can web content articles do for you? First and formost you are read when people see you as an expert in your field. Second, each article you write will have your main keywords in the article along with links to your site. Structured correctly your readers are going to want more of what you have to offer. At this point they will follow the links to your site and peruse your other articles.
If you have built your site well you will have a place that your visitors can sign up to get your on going writing. Also things you may be giving away. This is a process and does not happen over night regardless what you see on the internet.
A good article foundation takes a while to build. Once you have your list of people that come back to read what you have to say, you can begin slowly to show them the thing you have to sell.
